Wilkes-Barre, P.A. – The Oswego State wrestling team split its decisions at the NY/PA Duals on Saturday afternoon at King's College. Oswego dropped its early decision 27-12 to Lycoming College before taking down King's 30-11 in the afternoon session.
Four Laker's won in the Lycoming bout, starting with
Abubakarr Sow at 149. Sow beat Lycoming's Seth Lansberry with a 5-4 decision in overtime.
David Hall followed suit at 165 for Oswego, handing Nolan Barger a 6-5 loss.
Scott Bova took a 4-0 decision at 184 while
Branden Jones moved past Skylar Ebner at 285 with a 2-0 win.
Sow, Bova and Jones all added another win to their records in the afternoon matchup with King's at their aforementioned weight classes. Sow was again by 5-4 decision, Bova was by a 5-0 showing and Jones pinned his opponent at 4:26.
Also adding to the day was Thomas Garcia, pinning Giacomo Dinicola at 141.
Joe Gorsuch beat Daniel Harthausen at 3:15 in the 197 category.
Quamaine Thomas (135) and
Christopher Farrell (174) each won by forfeits.
Oswego will return to action next Friday and Saturday when it travels to Williamsport, P.A. to take part in the Budd Whitehill Division III Duals at Lycoming College.
