CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team improved to 3-1 in conference action on the year with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-13) victory over Potsdam on Friday night in SUNYAC Pool Play at Cortland. On the season, Oswego is now 13-10 overall and is currently riding a five-match win streak.
Oswego was led by
Kelsey Dillon's 11 kills on offense followed by
Jessica Long and
Hannah Dahlgren, each finishing with seven.
Olivia Zimmerman helped the hitters with a match-high 18 assists while
Lauren Edwards chipped in 16.
On the defensive side, Rachel Ruggaber collected 16 digs with Zimmerman (10), Long (9), Edwards (8) and
Kim Cassa (7) all helping as well.
Senior
Stephanie Bailey aided on defense also, blocking three Bears' attempts while Dillon added two.
Oswego will continue with pool play at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday when it faces Oneonta. The Lakers will face host Cortland later on Saturday afternoon.
