ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team lost a close 133-105 meet to Oneonta on Saturday afternoon at Chase Pe Pool. With the loss, Oswego falls to 0-2 on the year.
Justin Berrios and
Ben Hale dominated in the diving events during the contest, collecting a total of 26 team points in two events. Berrios and Hale each had a first place finish in the event.
The Lakers also captured the top three spots in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Jacob Mullett nabbed first place and nine points with a time of 1:04.06. Behind Mullett were
Dylan Tiefenthaler (1:09.15) and
Nathan Taylor (1:10.01) in second and third, respectively.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, the men swept the top three spots again. Zachary Gerber, Matt Evans, Alex Kemper and
Aidan Meehan took first (1:32.08) with
Sanjay Raman,
James Pope,
James Dillon, and
Scott Bullard taking second (1:38.63). Coming in third were Taylor,
Sam Carwile, Gabriel Alagna and
Brian Greene (1:50.62).
Oswego will be back in action for its home-opener at 1 p.m. on Saturday when Wells College comes to campus.
