CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-16) victory at Cazenovia College on Wednesday night. With the win, the Lakers improve to 12-10 on the year while the Wildcats drop to 1-15.
On a night where nine Lakers recorded a kill,
Kelsey Dillon had a match-high 10 kills and a .500 attack percentage. Next were
Stephanie Bailey and
Emma Moriarty, who each recorded six kills. Bailey had the highest attack percentage for the Lakers, hitting at a .556 clip.
Sarah Meredith added four kills while
Hannah Dahlgren,
Meaghan Roefs,
Megan Russell and
Jessica Long finished with two apiece. Dahlgren also finished as the team-leader with three blocks with Dillon at her heels with two.
Lindsey Champitto was the other Laker with a kill while pacing the team with 11 assists.
Lauren Edwards and
Olivia Zimmerman helped with the setting duties, chipping in eight and six, respectively.
Rachel Ruggaber led the way in the digs department with 11 followed by Champitto's eight. Meredith and Edwards both collected six digs as well.
Oswego will be back to work at 7 p.m. on Friday against Potsdam when it opens the next round of SUNYAC Pool Play at Cortland.
