HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's basketball team dropped to 1-3 on the year with a 65-58 loss to Houghton on the road Tuesday night.
Rachael Windhausen scored a career- and game-high 23 points on the night, shooting an impressive 9-for-13 (69.2%) from the field. The freshman also made of 5-of-8 from the charity stripe while nearly clinching a double-double with a team-best nine boards.
Aiding on the offensive end were
Heather Hebert and
Mary Mazzella, each finishing with nine points. Mazzella had the second-most Laker rebounds with six while Hebert chipped in four.
Alison Nunziato played the role of distributor in the contest, leading Oswego with five assists.
The Lakers will be back in action at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night when they tip-off their SUNYAC schedule with Fredonia in Max Ziel Gymnasium.
