Three Hockey Games at Home While Other Teams Hit the Road

OSWEGO, N.Y. – With the weekend vastly approaching, Oswego State Athletics will be busy as seven teams will be competing.

The men's ice hockey team will be home this weekend looking to keep the momentum alive after a 2-0 weekend at Morrisville. The Lakers will take on Geneseo at 7 p.m. on Friday in the Campus Center. On Saturday, they will celebrate Senior Night against Brockport, facing off at 7 p.m. Seniors David Titanic and Kyle Badham will be honored after the game on Saturday.

With the Lakers trailing Geneseo in conference points 20-17, this weekend will prove pivotal in improving their possible seeding for the SUNYAC Championship. The Knights defeated Oswego earlier this year and the Lakers plan to return the favor.

The women's ice hockey team is also looking forward to improving their ECAC West standings as it takes on Utica College Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Oswego State will travel to Utica for a 2:30 p.m. faceoff on Saturday and will take on the Pioneers again at 4 p.m. on Sunday in the Campus Center Ice Arena.

All three home men's and women's ice hockey games will appear on Time Warner Cable channel 325. If you are not near a television or out of the region, click the following links to follow live action.

The Lakers hold a 2-0 record against both of those teams this season, beating each in the early portions of the SUNYAC schedule.

Oswego's women's basketball team will also take on the Bears and Cardinals this weekend, playing before the men both days, starting at 6 p.m. on Friday followed by a 2 p.m. tipoff on Saturday.
