RESULTSALFRED, N.Y. – The Oswego State wrestling team improved to 3-8 on the season with a 30-15 victory over Alfred State on the road Tuesday night.
Starting the night off right was Kevin Ramikshun winning a decision 10-6 at 125 lbs.
Jonathan Ptacek followed suit with a decision of his own, winning 10-4 at the 133-pound weight class. Also winning be decisions a little later in the match were 174-pounder
Sean Maloney (5-1) and 285-pounder
Branden Jones (5-2).
Three Lakers earned victories on the night in the form of a fall, including
Tomas Garcia at 141, taking down his opponent at 5:53.
Abubakarr Sow made it two-straight wins by pin at 4:40 in the 149-pound weight class.
Wrapping up the wins on the night was
Scott Bova. The 184-pound Bova pinned his opponent at 3:41 to give him a third-straight victory in that fashion.
Oswego will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when Cortland comes to Max Ziel Gymnasium for the Lakers final home match of the season.
