BOX SCOREOSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team swept every point in a 9-0 win over Utica College on Friday afternoon at the Romney Tennis Courts. With the win, the Lakers move back to .500 on the year at 2-2 while the Pioneers fall to 0-3.
On the singles side, Oswego's fourth, fifth and sixth singles all blanked their opponents as
Haley Miller,
Jill Travis and
Marie Halpin took the 6-0, 6-0 wins, respectively.
Lauren Stall at first singles and
Kelsey Wilson at third singles, each defeated their counterparts 6-0, 6-2.
Rounding out the Laker winners in singles was
Alicia Kreamer in the second slot, taking a convincing 6-0, 6-1 over Utica's Ani Fitzpatrick.
At doubles, Wilson and Alli Ullrichdid not allow a point from the Pioneers in the third spot, earning the 8-0 victory. Stall and Kreamer paired at first doubles to down their foes 8-3 while Travis and Miller combined for an 8-2 triumph at second doubles.
Oswego will be back in action this weekend when it travels to Amherst for a 12 p.m. Sunday battle with Daemen College.
