BOX SCOREBROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 contest to host Brockport on Tuesday afternoon. With the defeat, the Lakers fall to 2-6 overall and 0-3 in SUNYAC competition while the Golden Eagles improve to 5-3, 2-1.
Lauren Stall gave her opponent all they could handle at first singles, forcing a tie-break before losing 7-6 in the first set and then going down 6-0 in the second set. Stall paired with
Alicia Kreamer at first doubles and again gave Brockport a tough battle, earning six games before bowing out 8-6.
Back on the singles side,
Marie Halpin earned seven games over her two sets in the sixth spot, but fell to her Golden Eagle counterpart, 6-4, 6-3.
Oswego will be back on the courts at 4 p.m. on Friday when it hosts St. John Fisher College in a nonconference showdown.
