OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team falls to Brockport 3-1 (28-26, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22) in its first match of SUNYAC Pool Play at Max Ziel Gymnasium on Friday evening. With the loss, the squad moves to 8-10 on the year and 0-1 in the conference.
Kelsey Dillon and
Stephanie Bailey led the team offensively, each recording 11 kills in the match. The two also took on the defensive brunt of things, leading the team in blocks as well. Dillon came away with three while Bailey added two.
Also helping defensively was
Rachael Ruggaber, who picked up 25 digs during the match.
Setting duties fell on the shoulders of both
Olivia Zimmerman and
Lauren Edwards, recording 23 and 19 assists, respectively.
The team will continue SUNYAC Pool Play tomorrow where it will take on Plattsburgh at 10 a.m. followed by a match against Buffalo State at 12:30 p.m.
