OSWEGO, N.Y. – Oswego State volleyball downed Keuka College in straight sets on Tuesday in Max Ziel Gymnasium. The team took the first and third game with ease, winning 25-13 in both. Game two was a bit more difficult but the Lakers were able to edge Keuka 26-24.
Leading the team offensively for the Lakers was
Stephanie Bailey, who accumulated eight kills.
Jessica Long was able to tack on five as well.
Lauren Edwards and
Olivia Zimmerman once again had setting duties, recording 11 and nine assists, respectively.
Serving also played a major part in the Lakers win on Tuesday night. Edwards was able to go on a nine-point run to help the team comeback and win the second game.
Rachael Ruggaber had a streak of her own, serving the ball nine-straight times to help the squad pull away in the third set.
The volleyball team will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday for an away game with Cazenovia.
