ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team ends the University of Rochester Tournament with two close matches that did not go its way. Against Skidmore College, the squad took the first two games 25-22, 25-22 but were unable to gain the third win it needed, dropping the next three games 19-25, 23-25, 14-16. The team then fell just short in its second match of the day against Hamilton College, 14-25, 27-25, 17-20, 20-25.
 
MATCH ONE - SKIDMORE 3, OSWEGO 2:
Megan Russell, Jessica Long, Stephanie Bailey and Kelsey Dillon all recorded over 10 kills, the last two players tying for the team-high with 15. Russell also led the team in blocks with three.

Olivia Zimmerman and Lauren Edwards were the facilitators for the team recording 32 and 25 assists, respectively.

Long and Rachel Ruggaber took on the defensive roles for Oswego, securing over 20 digs each.
 
MATCH TWO - HAMILTON 3, OSWEGO 1:
Long led the team in kills with nine and also recorded two blocks. Hannah Dahlgren handled the net play with four registered blocks.

Ruggaber gave a solid defensive effort picking up 18 of the teams 78 digs. Zimmerman pitched in as well, recording 16 digs.
 
The Lakers will be back in action at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday as they host the Cardinals of St. John Fisher College.
