BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State wrestling team dropped a 39-6 contest to nationally-ranked Brockport on the road Wednesday night. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 2-7 on the year while the No. 20 Golden Eagles advance to 2-0.
Oswego picked up its points with
Jacob Yankloski taking a forfeit at 125.
Jonathan Ptacek followed that with a close battle at 133, eventually falling 6-4. Also battling to a close decision was the 157-pound
Tyler Silverthorn, relinquishing 7-4 to Brockport's James Devine III.
The Lakers will be back in action at 12 p.m. on Saturday when Oneonta comes to campus for a bout in Max Ziel Gymnasium.
