RESULTSOSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team defeated Potsdam 165-107 on senior day this Saturday afternoon at Laker Pool. The Lakers go to .500 (5-5) on the season with only one meet remaining before SUNYACs.
James Dillon and
Ross Gardner started the Lakers off strong, finishing first and second in the 1000-yard free. Dillon would later go on to take second in the 500-yard free. In that same race, senior
Aidan Meehan took home first, clocking in with a time of 5:07.03.
James Pope capped off his final meet in Laker Pool nabbing first in the 200-yard fly, touching the wall at a time of 2:08.64. Also notching first place finishes for Oswego were
Dylan Tiefenthaler, who clinched the top spot in the 200 yard free and
Austin Nau in the 100 and 50-yard frees.
In the diving competition,
Ben Hale took the top spot at 3-meters and 1-meter, recording a score of 270.20 and 286.00, respectively.
Justin Berrios nabbed second in both of those heights and his 1-meter score of 276.55 has qualified him for NCAA Regionals.
Men's swimming and diving will close out its regular season at noon on Saturday, where it will compete in the Geneseo Invite.
