RESULTSBINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell 5-3 to Plattsburgh in the first round of the consolation bracket at the SUNYAC Championship on Saturday morning.
The Lakers jumped out to an early lead against the Cardinals, taking two points in doubles.
Leslie Usherwood and
Jill Travis took down their opponents at second, while
Madeline Klatt and
Giovanna Saulle cleaned up at third. The team faltered at singles though as only junior
Alli Ullrich came away with a point.
With the loss, Oswego concludes its fall season with an overall record of 4-10. The squad will resume play again in the spring with a few matches yet to be determined.
