Oswego Earns First Win Over Oneonta

RESULTS

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team captured its first win of season 123-11 over Oneonta on Saturday afternoon Laker Pool. Oswego is now 1-1 on the year while Oneonta goes to 0-1 after its first dual meet of the season.

Senior Austin Nau was critical on Saturday, taking part in three different Laker first place finishes. Nau's first victory of the day came in the 50-yard freestyle, where he posted a time of 22.28. He was not done yet, owning another freestyle event, this time the 100-yard free with a time of 50.01.

Late in the meet, Nau got his third triumph of the day by teaming with Alex Kemper, Zachary Gerber and John Miller in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The quartet locked in a time of 1:29.96 for the win.

Another Oswego relay won an event as well, with Kemper combining with Dylan Richmond, Sean Haley-Hagadorn and Sanjay Raman in the 200-yard medley relay. The Lakers touched the wall in 1:43.18 in that event, more than two seconds faster than the second-place group.

On the diving boards, Luke Snyder collected the top spot in both the 1- and 3-meter events, scoring 243.75 and 230.90, respectively.

Oswego will hit the road for the first time for its next event, traveling to Aurora, N.Y. to face the Wells College Express at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
