RESULTSALFRED, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team extended its win streak to four meets with a 116.5-79.5 victory over host Alfred State on Friday evening. With the win, the Lakers are now 4-1 on the year.
Five different Lakers won individual events on Friday, led by
James Dillon. The junior won twice for Oswego, first taking the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:01.95. He followed that up with a victory in the 500-yard version of the same style, touching the wall in 5:24.01.
Classmate Jacob Mullet captured the 200-yard IM, registering a time of 2:12.62. Senior
Zach Gerber turned in a time of 51.28 in the 100-yard freestyle, good for a first-place finish. A pair of freshman rounded out those taking the top spot for the Lakers.
Jay Choi was first with a 200-yard butterfly win (2:10.94) before classmate
Dylan Richmond collected a triumph in the 200-yard backstroke (2:08.15).

Joseph Gaston scored a victory in the 200-yard medley, edging out the Pioneers by less than a second.
Oswego will now take a week to prepare for a 1 p.m. battle next Saturday with Brockport at home in Laker Pool.
