RESULTSPOTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team edged out host Clarkson University 120-11 for its third-straight victory on Saturday afternoon. After four dual meets this season, the Lakers are now 3-1.
Oswego won seven events in the triumph over the Knights, starting with junior
James Dillon's first place time of 9:48.02 in the 800-yard freestyle. Senior
Austin Nau followed that performance with a top spot finish in the 50-yard free, touching the wall in 25.26.
The third Laker win came from Nau's classmate
Sanjay Raman in the 100-yard butterfly. Raman nearly won be a full second over his next closest competitor, registering a time of 1:03.53.
Dillon garnered his second win of the day in the 400-yard free by more than seven seconds, recording a time of 4:39.29. Closing out the swimming events was the relay team of Nau,
Jay Choi,
Dylan Tiefenthaler and
Sam Carwile, capturing the 200-yard free in 1:43.42.
Rounding out the Lakers' seven event wins was sophomore
Luke Snyder, who secured both the 1- and 3-meter dive competitions. Snyder won the 1-meter with 222.35 points while accumulating 223.65 points on the 3-meter board.
Oswego will put its three-meet winning streak on the line next at 6 p.m. on Friday when it travels to Alfred State to face the Pioneers.
