CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's lacrosse team faced its third-straight nationally-ranked team, losing 17-1 to No. 5 Cortland on Saturday afternoon at Stadium Red. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 4-8 overall and 0-5 in SUNYAC competition while the Red Dragons improve to 11-1, 5-0.
Erannan Shattuck led the Lakers with four shots and scored the only Oswego goal with 8:33 remaining in the game. In net, Angela Ponta made nine stops for the squad while collecting a team-high three ground balls.

Mackenzie Kjerstad and Miranda Czechowksi each added two ground balls. Czechowski also had a game-high four caused turnovers as Hagen paced Oswego with two draw control wins.
Osweog will be back on the field at 4 p.m. on Tuesday when it travels to Buffalo State for a conference matchup with the Bengals.
