Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men's Lax Falls to Potsdam on the Road

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's lacrosse team fell 16-5 to Potsdam Tuesday night on the road. With the loss, the team goes to .500 (5-5) on the year and 0-3 in the SUNYAC. Potsdam improves to 6-5 overall, 2-1 in the conference.

After a slow first quarter where Potsdam was able to accumulate five goals, Oswego was able to stop the bleeding after Cody Hoose hit Luke Krizman with a pass. The freshman then cashed in the goal, recording Oswego's first point. Potsdam was able to add five more goals before the intermission, giving them what seemed like an insurmountable lead going into the second half. Oswego would tack on four more goals but the offense never got its footing, allowing the Bears to take the 16-5 win

Five different Lakers ended the game with a goal including Krizman, Hoose, Troy Crevier, Dylan DiFante and Kyle Wistner. Hoose also finished with an assist to earn a team-high two points.

Wyatt Russo and Troy Calkin split the game between the pipes notching nine and six saves, respectively.

Men's lacrosse will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday as it hosts SUNY Canton at the South Athletic Field.
