CORTLAND, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell 9-0 to Cortland on the road Friday afternoon. With the loss, Oswego moves to 1-2, while the Red Dragons improve to 2-1.
In doubles,
Alli Ullrich and
Alicia Kreamer put up a tough battle against Cortland's firsts' before eventually falling 6-8. Kreamer used the momentum to fuel her singles play pushing the match to a tie breaker. The senior couldn't hold though, dropping second singles to Cortland's Nikaylah Williams 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 10-5.
Jill Travis and
Giovanna Saulle both stole games at first and sixth singles, respectively, but were eventually downed each by the score of 6-2, 6-1.
Women's tennis will be back in action at 12 p.m. on Saturday as it hosts Daemen College at the Romney Outdoor Tennis Courts.
