OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team returns to its winning ways as it downed Morrisville State 4-1 at the Marano Campus Center Arena Tuesday night. The win improves the Lakers record to 8-3-3 overall, while the Mustangs fall to 5-9-3.
A defenseman got the Lakers going as
Alyssa Brockmann scored her first of the year just 3:23 into the game.
Andrea Noss earned an assist on the play as she found the trailing junior in the slot for the easy put away.
Olivia Ellis increased the Laker lead to two at the 11:31 mark as she shoveled in an
Alexa Aramburu pass sent through the goal mouth. Morrisville would tack on one before the period end but that was it for the 'Stangs.
Noss would go on to score in the second as she collected a loose puck and converted on a neat wrap-around from behind the net.
Alli Ullrich then put in the final goal as she ripped a clapper from the point on a Laker power play in the third.
Tori Trovato got the start in goal for Oswego, stopping 21 saves on the night.
Women's ice hockey will now travel to Morrisville for a 7 p.m. puck drop Wednesday to complete the home-and-home series.
