OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell to 3-7 on the year with a 9-0 loss at home to the Cardinals of Plattsburgh. Plattsburgh is now 8-3 on the year and have won five-straight matches.
Oswego's
Madeline Klatt and
Giovanna Saulle come closest to a victory on Saturday at second doubles. The Cardinals wound up taking a 9-8 win after the Lakers dropped the tiebreaker 10-8.
On the singles side,
Lorrayne Broach nearly fought her way back to force a third set, taking four games in the second set before falling 6-0, 6-4.
Jill Travis was able to capture five games in her second singles match, losing 6-2, 6-3.
Due to injuries, Oswego had to forfeit the final spots in both singles and doubles competition.
