OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped its final match before the SUNYAC Championship 5-2 to St. John Fisher College at home on Thursday evening. With the loss, the Lakers are 3-8 overall while the Cardinals go to 5-4.
Oswego's first point came at fourth singles with
Giovanna Saulle defeating Olivia Rotondo 6-0, 6-3. The Lakers' other point was delivered by
Alli Ullrich and
Jill Travis in first double competition. Ullrich and Travis downed their Cardinal counterparts 8-4.
First and third singles were suspended due to darkness.
Oswego now heads to the postseason for an opening round match with SUNYAC East Division No. 1 seed New Paltz. The match is slated for 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Binghamton Tennis Courts in Binghamton, N.Y.
