BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team – the fourth-seeded team out of the SUNYAC West Division – lost its final match of the fall season 5-2 to No. 2 out of the east division – Fredonia – in the conference championship consolation bracket on Sunday morning at the Binghamton Tennis Center. Oswego ends its traditional season with a 3-10 overall record.
Doubles competition was the sweet spot for the Lakers on Sunday, winning two of three matches. Senior

Jill Travis outdueled their Blue Devil counterparts 8-5 in the top spot. At third doubles, the tandem of
Giovanna Saulle and
Lorrayne Broach cruised to a 8-1 triumph over Leanne Hofstead and Christine Thomas from Fredonia. Saulle tried to prolong the match at fourth singles by forcing a decisive set, but eventually fell 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
