MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Oswego State wrestling team dropped all three of its matches at the Wesleyan Tri-Match in Middletown, Conn. on Sunday. The team fell 37-9 to Lycoming College before dropping its dual with Norwich University 25-18. Oswego then fell 42-6 to host Wesleyan University in its last match of the day. On the year, the Lakers are 4-13 in dual meets.

Tyler Silverthorn earned Oswego's first points of the day, securing four against his Lycoming counterpart. The Watertown, N.Y. native won the 157-pound weight class with an 11-3 major decision. Teammate Troy Seymour gathered Oswego's final five points of the meet, winning the 184-pound division by a 20-2 technical fall.

Oswego found more success in its second meet of the day against Norwich University, beginning with a pair of back-to-back pins. Jonathan Ptacek (141) collected the first pin, touching his opponent's shoulders to the mat in 7:39. Directly after that match, Steve Culbert (149) won by fall, pinning his counterpart in 4:46. Tyler Silverthorn gathered Oswego's next three points, and his second win of the day, at 157, defeating Norwich's Ben Swanson by decision (11-4).

The Lakers final three points came at the 184-pound division as Jeff Lombardi was victorious by an 8-2 decision. Lombardi also captured the sole six Oswego points in the final match against Wesleyan, pinning his opponent in 1:39.
