OSWEGO, N.Y. -- The Oswego State women's basketball team dropped its contest against Geneseo 75-41 at Max Ziel Gymnasium Tuesday evening. With the loss, Oswego moves to 4-20 overall and 2-15 in the SUNYAC. Geneseo improves to 17-6 on the year (12-4 SUNYAC).
The Lakers were led by
Courtney Ameele who scored 17 points on the night, including four from downtown. She was aided by
Tayler Sorell who recorded 10, hitting double-digits for the 14th time this season.
Underneath the hoop,
Nicole SantaMaria led the way with eight rebounds.
Mary Mazzella and Ameele also pitched in with five a piece.
As a team Oswego was able to pressure the ball, collecting nine steals on the night and turning the Knights' turnovers into nine points.
Women's basketball will finish up its regular season at 5:30 p.m. on Friday as it heads to Cortland to take on the Red Dragons.
