GRANTHAM, PA. – The Oswego State men's soccer team lost to Messiah 3-0 on Saturday evening. With the loss, the Lakers fall to the 2-3 on the season. Meanwhile the Falcons improve to 3-0-1.
Jason Hayes led the Oswego offense on the evening. In the second minute of the contest, Hayes found the ball in his sweet spot. The freshman unloaded toward the goal, but the goalie was able to get a hand on the ball and record the save.
Oswego had a near-miss shot in the second half when
Bradley Hartung dribbled within striking distance. The Minoa, N.Y. native caromed the shot off the goal post, just missing the target.
Goalie
Evan Bogucki led the Laker defense on the evening. He saved six shots in just his third-career start between the posts. Oswego also blocked three other would-be shots on the evening.
Men's soccer will return to the pitch on Tuesday as they continue on their six-game road trip; they will face off against Canton at 4 p.m.
