BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team lost its second SUNYAC West Division matchup of the year 6-3 at Brockport on Monday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers drop to 1-4 on the year and 0-2 in divisional play.
Lorrayne Broach was involved with two of Oswego's three points on Monday. Broach downed her Golden Eagle counterpart 6-2, 6-4 at fifth singles before pairing with
Giovanna Saulle to win third doubles 8-2.
The Lakers other point came from
Allie Foland in the final singles slot, going the distance. After dropping the first set 6-4, the senior fought back to take the second set 6-3 and force a decisive set. The third set needed extra play to determine a victor, as Foland won a 7-5 tiebreak to capture the match 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).
Oswego will have one day of rest before returning to action when it hosts Alfred University at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
