OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match 7-2 to Alfred University at home on Wednesday. With the loss, Oswego is 1-5 on the year while the Saxons improve to 2-7.
Allie Foland was involved in both Laker points on Wednesday, starting with the team's only singles victory. At sixth singles, the senior battled out a first set win 6-4 before cruising 6-0 in the second set to secure the win.
On the doubles side of competition, Foland paired with teammate
Lorrayne Broach at the third position. Broach and Foland defeat Saxons Miranda Sakala and Rachel Pera 8-2 for the Lakekrs' second point of the night.
Oswego will look to rebound at 12 p.m. on Saturday when it heads to Fredonia to face the Blue Devils in SUNYAC West Division action.
