RESULTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team held off host Buffalo State for a 127-115 win on Saturday afternoon. Oswego ascends above .500 with a 4-3 overall mark while handing the Bengals (3-2) just their second loss of the season.

Daniel Rodriguez continued his stellar young career, collecting three victories on the day while breaking two pool records. The freshman broke Buffalo's pool record in the 1650-yard free, touching the wall in 16:09.01 – nearly two minutes faster than the next closest swimming – for Oswego's first event win of the day. His 1,000-yard split time of 9:44.99 in that race also set a new pool mark. Rodrgiuez then took a nearly nine-second triumph in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:30.74. He then capped the day with a triumph in the 500-yard free, touching the wall in 4:55.58.

In back-to-back events, Alexander Davie and Devon Foster claimed first place in the 100-yard free and the 100-yard backstroke, respectively. Davie had a time of 50.37 while Foster clocked 57.41. Jacob Mullet rounded out individual winners on the swimming side, capturing a victory in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:02.68.

On the diving boards, Luke Snyder won the 1-meter event, scoring 238.60 to edge out his Buffalo State competition by 6.40.

Oswego will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when it hosts Cortland in Laker Pool.
