OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's and women's ice hockey teams will host their Teal Games to raise awareness for ovarian cancer on Saturday, Oct. 28. Castleton University will visit at 3 p.m. to face the women's squad and the men's team hosts Elmira College later that night. Before the men's game at 7 p.m., there will be Teal Gate activities for fans in the Marano Campus Center (MCC).

Teal Gate will be located in the Food Activity Court of the MCC from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m, with the musical group PK Experience performing. Merchandise from Hope for Heather, an ovarian cancer awareness group with a chapter based in Central New York, will be available for fans to purchase. Food from Palates will be available for purchase as well.

Ed Gosek and the late Mary Gosek – will take part in the ceremonial puck drop at 6:58 p.m. Mary passed away in June after a courageous fight against ovarian cancer and inspired countless people with initiatives to bring awareness to the disease. She will be honored with "Mary's Minute" following the ceremonial puck drop, where fans are encouraged to cheer exuberantly during the first minute of gameplay.
During the first intermission of the game, there will be the Sub Shop Mini Game on the ice, where Oswego Minor Hockey players donning teal jerseys will compete against each other. At the second intermission, Team Mini is set to shoot even more teal shirts into the crowd.
Fans are encouraged to attend both the men's and women's Teal Games and take part in the Teal Gate festivities. Donations for Hope for Heather will be accepted at Teal Gate or can be made online
