PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team fell to No. 2 Plattsburgh State, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Senior captain
Olivia Ellis led the Lakers with four of the team's 24 shots.
Julieann White,
Philomena Teggart and
Andrea Noss each contributed three of their own.
Goalie
Mariah Madrigal started the game in the net for the Lakers, playing 13:35 minutes before
Amber Samonek came in to finish the game. Madrigal made 13 saves during her time in the goal, while Samonek collected 31.
Oswego killed six of its seven penalties during the game. The Lakers also won 31 faceoffs, compared to the Cardinals' 25.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., the Lakers will be back in action as they face NEWHL rival Plattsburgh on the road again.
