ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team fell to Nazareth College, 79-69, on Tuesday night. With the loss, the Lakers move to 1-3 this season, while the Golden Flyers improve to 3-1.
Oswego outscored Nazareth 42-33 in the second half, but was unable to overcome the Golden Flyers' first-half advantage. Senior

Tim Marshall led the Lakers' second-half surge. Ferebee, who leads the Lakers in points this season, scored 18 points in 16 minutes during the second half. Ten of those points came from the free throw line, while the rest came from field goals.
Marshall racked up 12 points in the second half, with half of them coming off of 3-pointers, to bring his total to 16 points for the night. With just over three minutes left in the game, he sunk a 3-pointer to pull the Lakers within seven, their smallest deficit of the second half. The Baldwinsville native also collected three offensive rebounds against the Golden Flyers.
Next, Oswego opens SUNYAC play at 3 p.m. on Saturday when it travels to Cortland to face the Red Dragons.
