FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's basketball team defeated SUNYAC foe Fredonia, 64-48, on the road on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Lakers improve to an even 4-4 this season and 3-1 in conference action, while Fredonia falls to 2-8 overall and 0-4 in SUNYAC play.
After a back and forth battle for the first 12 minutes of the game, the Lakers captured the lead on a layup by
Jamir Ferebee and never surrendered it for the rest of the game. Not only was Ferebee responsible for the turning point of the game, but he was dominant throughout it. The senior made 10 field goals, including three 3-pointers, and seven free throws to score 30 points for the Lakers. This was Ferebee's second-straight game scoring 30 points or more. The Staten Island native is averaging a team-high of 20.8 points per game this season.

Ian Schupp followed Ferebee in points scored against Fredonia, notching 15. The senior was a perfect 4-for-4 at the free throw line. Teammate

th in the nation in offensive rebounds per game, picked up two more offensive rebounds and eight defensive rebounds against the Blue Devils.
Next, the Lakers will face St. Lawrence at 7 p.m. on Friday in a nonconference matchup.
