ITHACA, N.Y. - The Oswego State wrestling team split against Ithaca College and Jamestown Community College on Saturday afternoon.  The Lakers kicked the day off with a 45-4 defeat to Ithaca, ranked fifth in the nation by D3Wrestling.  The afternoon ended with a 39-14 win over Jamestown CC.

In the opening dual against the Bombers, Oswego got points from junior Troy Seymour at the 174-pound weight class.  Seymour, who came into the day ranked seventh in the weight class by D3Wrestling.com, scored a major decision (14-2) over Alex Corrao.  Also wrestling well for the Lakers was junior Kade Andrews at heavyweight.  Andrews dropped a 4-0 decision to Ithaca's Jake O'Brien, ranked fifth nationally.

Against Jamestown, sophomore Jack DelDuca led the Lakers with a 10-3 decision over Caleb Wiggins of the Jayhawks.  Sophomore Kyle Torre suffered an 8-2 setback at 149 while freshman Andrew Tanner lost by fall (4:08) at the heavyweight class.  At 174, freshman Thomas Keller dropped a match to Cameron Page, ranked fourth in the nation at that class for NJCAA colleges.

The team is off until the intersession break when they travel down to King's College on January 6 for the NY/PA Duals.  That event has a 12 p.m. start time.
