OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team opened the spring portion of its slate with an 8-1 loss to Le Moyne College – a NCAA Division II opponent – on Tuesday afternoon at the Romney Indoor Tennis Courts.
Oswego's lone win came from
Haru Kobayashi at fifth singles. The sophomore was able to take a break in each set for a 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Giovanna Saulle stole a game in the first set of a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Cameron Aiello at third singles while
Lorrayne Broach obtained two games in the first set of her fourth singles match.
In doubles competition, Broach and Saulle posted a valiant effort, eventually falling by a break 8-6 in the second position.
Oswego will return to the courts at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 when it travels to Alfred University to face the Saxons.
