OSWEGO, N.Y. — The Oswego State women's tennis team fell 8-1 to Oneonta on Saturday, but won the only set that Oneonta has lost its entire season. With the loss, the Lakers move to 2-2 on the season while Oneonta moves to 4-0.
In the fifth singles match, Haru Kobayashi defeated Samantha Felice in the first set 6-4 and in the second set 6-2. Kobayashi has brought her best against difficult teams, forcing a super set two weeks earlier against Geneseo.
Lorrayne Broach also put points on the board against her opponent, but ultimately fell 6-3 and 6-1 in both sets.
On Monday, the Lakers will host SUNYAC rival Brockport at the Romney Tennis Courts at 4 p.m.
