OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State men's soccer team dropped an overtime contest to conference-foe Buffalo State on Friday afternoon. Captain
RJ Nichol tallied his first collegiate gial.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Slater Bushen owned the Lakers' best scoring opportunity in the first half, as his header flew just inches off target, hitting the post, with six minutes remaining in the half.
- After a scoreless first half, Buffalo State was able to find the back of the net nearly 15 minutes into the second, as August Finn narrowly beat Oswego's keeper.
- The Lakers answered back at 72:51, when RJ Nichol was able to capitalize on a Logan Sperano corner-kick, using his head to send the ball to the upper 90. This assist is the first for the midfielder.
- Buffalo looked to end the game with nine minutes remaining in the second half, as a Bengal was able to pull the goalie. The goal was immediately called back, as the scorer was ruled offsides before the tally.
- The Bengals were able to cut the overtime period short as Ali Shawish received a Theo Pencic pass and sent the ball hurling into the net with 6:11 remaining.
- Goalkeeper Brian Terra stopped five Bengals shots in his 93 minutes in net.
- Oswego owned a steep seven-one advantage in corner-kicks.
