Lakers Tie After Two Overtimes at Fredonia

FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's soccer team split a 0-0 double-overtime contest at Fredonia on Saturday.

THE BASICS
  • Result: Oswego 0, New Fredonia 0 (2OT)

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Oswego owned 26-8 shot advantage, placing eight on goal, compared to Fredonia's three.
  • The Lakers made light of the Blue Devils offense, as Emma Allen recorded one save in regulation.
  • The sophomore added two more in the in the first overtime period, for a game total of three.
  • Oswego was also held a large lead in corner-kick opportunities 11-1.
  • Freshman Liz Myers looked for her second career goal, as she was the only Laker to record a shot on-goal in either overtime period.
  • Lynsey Roth led Oswego in shots on-goal with two, extending her teaming lead shots on-goal tally to 22. 
  • Audrey Burbudge, Mackenzie Schaffner, Gianna Perri, Chloe Lonergan and Gab Garcea were all able to add a shot on-goal to Oswego's advantage. 
  • Burbidge also tallied four shots and is now ranked second on the team in total shots with 30.

WHAT'S NEXT

The Lakers remain on the road as they head to Canton on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup, set to begin at 5 p.m.
