NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Oswego State Volleyball team earned a conference split on Saturday with a 3-1 defeat at New Paltz before rebounding with a convincing 3-0 win over Plattsburgh. The Lakers are currently tied for the fifth spot in the conference with three other schools with a 2-4 mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Oswego was tied at one game apiece with New Paltz and 22-22 in the pivotal third set, but couldn't grab the momentum when New Paltz recorded a pair of kills and an ace.
- Junior Shauna O'Flaherty led Oswego with 14 kills and 14 digs while Lauren Fie had 10 kills and three blocks.
- Senior Alison Berger had 20 assists while outside hitters Ariana Wright and Melissa Lussier each had eight kills.
- In the Plattsburgh match, the Oswego defense smothered the Cardinals, holding them to a negative attack percentage (20 kills, 22 attack errors).
- O'Flaherty put up another impressive showing with 16 kills and 15 digs while Mira Legnon-Bozman had eight kills and 11 digs.
- On the setting front, Julia Flohr had 18 assists and 12 digs while sophomore Emily Costa had 23 digs and eight assists.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers travel to Rochester on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. matchup with Nazareth College in non-conference action.
