OSWEGO, N.Y. - Despite a combined 25 points from forwards
Samantha Britton and
Rachael Windhausen, the Oswego State women's basketball team fell to the University of Rochester by a score of 62-46 in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at the Max Ziel Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lakers held Rochester in check in the first quarter, trailing 7-6 with 2:36 left, but a 6-2 run put the visitors up 13-8 heading into the second quarter.
- Both offenses found their groove in the second with Rochester moving out to a 21-10 lead before Oswego finished the quarter on a 15-9 spurt. Both teams scored 19 in the quarter with Britton leading the Lakers with six points and sophomore Raiven Encarnacion chipping in four.
- A 9-0 run to start the third period helped Rochester take control of the game.
- In the fourth, the Lakers outscored Rochester 15-13 behind four points each from Windhausen and guard Quincey Zimmerman, but could not complete the comeback.
- Oswego, normally strong on defense, won the rebounding advantage 47-43 on the night and held Rochester to a 37.8% shooting percentage. Zimmerman had nine boards with Ramatoulaye Sy grabbing eight.

The Lakers remain at home for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff on Friday with Geneseo as conference action gets under way.
