CLINTON, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's ice hockey team drops a nonconference road contest to the Hamilton College Continentals. Freshman netminder Cassie Shokar exceeded her career-saves by the end of the first period.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Shokar stood on her head in the first period, denying all 22 Continental shots in her second career start.
• The Surry, B.C. native concluded the contest with an impressive 36 saves.
• Eryn Stewart helped the Lakers to make the board first, recording her fourth goal of the season unassisted, just over six minutes into the second period.
• The Continentals would answer five minutes later at 11:59 as Olivia Hawes was able to surpass Shokar. She found the back of the net one more time before the end of the period.
• Jean-marie Padden tallied a team-best four shots on goal, Bailey Thomas and Kate Randazzo recorded three apiece.
• Freshman Molly Evans had a team-high three blocks in the Lakers' efforts.
