NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell to New Paltz on Saturday afternoon. Several Lakers were able to earn points in their individual matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Haru Kobayashi led the team with points earned, with six on the day.
• The senior, who was slotted in third singles, earned five points in her matchup with Hawks competitor Jenna Grandville (6-3, 6-2).
• Sophomore Erin Vargo was the only other Laker to record a point in a singles match as she got one in a 6-1, 6-0 match.
• Kobayashi with the help of Bridget Bender earned her sixth point of the day in a first slot doubles. The pair ultimately fell 8-1. 
• Erin Vargo and Alesha Pilon were also able to tally a point in their 8-1 doubles match.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers remain on the road as they head to conference-rival Plattsburgh for an 11 a.m. start time on Sunday.
