PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team dropped a conference matchup at rivaled Plattsburgh on Sunday. The Lakers were able to earn a couple points in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Haru Kobayashi was one of two Lakers to claim a match on the day, Kobayashi took down Plattsburgh's Sierra Barrett in a hard fought third singles (6-3, 1-6, 10-4).
- Erin Vargo was the other Oswego competitor to claim a win on the day, in her sixth slotted singles match. Will giving up the first set 6-3, the sophomore rallied to take the second and third sets 6-3 and 10-6.
- Corning, N.Y. natives Vargo and Alesha Pilon lost in a very close third doubles match. The pair fell in an 8-6 matchup with Sarah Sampson and Sarah Hoeffner.
- Eliza Johnson was narrowly defeated in fourth singles, as she went 6-3 and 6-4.
- Kobayashi and Bridget Bender along with Johnson and Lorrayne Broach were able to earn two points in their respective doubles matches.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Lakers return home on Friday as the host the Fredonia Blue Devils for a conference matchup slated to begin at 3 p.m.
