OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team dropped a conference matchup at home on Saturday afternoon.
Joanna Christman made a career-high amount of saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Goalkeeper Joanna Christman registered 11 saves in the first 22 minutes of the game, before allowing a Geneseo goal.
- The goal was tallied at 22:54, as the Knights' Gabriella Clare was able to find a hole in Christman's kickers. They would find the back of the cage one more time before the half concluded.
- The Knights were able to put up two goals within the first five minutes of the second half.
- Freshman Emily Hunter tallied her first career defensive save, as she was able to defend the net on a breakaway at 42:21.
- The Lakers' best scoring opportunity happened with 15:48 remaining in the second half, as Leah Romanowski found back of the cage.
- Romanowski's goal was called back after it was decided that her shot came from outside the circle and was not deflected in by a defensive player as previously believed.
- Christman made a career-high 18 saves for the Lakers, facing 24 shots on goal.
- The Oswego defense defended against 33 total shots.
