OSWEGO, N.Y. - The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team cruised past Cortland 161-130 in dual meet action on Wednesday evening. On the women's side, the Lakers were narrowly edged out by Cortland 153-147.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Oswego men won nine of sixteen events, including both the 200-yard individual medley relay and the 200-yard freestyle relay.
- Individually, Nick Weber (1,650-yard freestyle), Ryan Kreuser (200-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle), Alex Davie (50-yard freestyle), Luis Perez (200-yard backstroke) and JJ Alaniz (400-yard Individual Medley) were all event winners.
- Freshman Cameron Ellis won both the 1-meter (253.85) and 3-meter diving (222.10) events.
- For the women, event winners were Riley Synan (100-yard and 200-yard fly), Abigail Mullett (1,650-yard freestyle), Julia Lamb (200-yard freestyle), Hannah Jensen (50-yard freestyle) and Emily Ross (200-yard breaststroke).
- On the diving board, a trio of Lakers were second through fourth in the two events. On the 1-meter board, Meghan Maquet scored 226.50, Miranda Frascatore had 219.50 and Samantha Badar earned 195.45. At 3-meters, Badar brought home runner up honors with a score of 223.70, then Frascatore (222.85) and Maquet (210.75) in fourth.
- Kelsey Oliverio swam well with a pair of runner up finishes (100-yard backstroke, 200-yard freestyle relay) and a third place (100-yard fly) on the afternoon.
- Oswego was narrowly out-touched in the meet's final event, the 200-yard freestyle (Jensen, Oliverio, Allegra Neglia, Synan), 143.15 to 1:43.18.
WHAT'S NEXT
Both programs head out to Buffalo, N.Y. for a 1 p.m. meet at conference rival Buffalo State this coming Saturday.
