OSWEGO, N.Y. - Freshman Ramatoulaye Sy went for 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds but the Oswego State women's basketball team fell at home to Potsdam by a score of 59-52.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Bears went up early 12-6 with 3:30 left in the opening quarter, but a 4-0 Sy run ended the stanza with the Lakers down just a bucket.
• In the second, the lead would extend back out to 10 points, but eight points off the bench on a pair of 3-pointers and a pair of free throws by freshman Logan Castiglione would cut the deficit back to 27-20 going into halftime.
• A pair of threes by guard Raiven Encarnacion started the third quarter and a seven point scoring outburst from Sy closed the gap to 36-33.  Moments later, Oswego retook the lead at 38-37 on a Quincey Zimmerman three-point play with 2:01 left in the quarter.
• Potsdam responded with their own 14-1 run to end the third and begin the fourth quarter and maintained a lead of no less than six points the rest of the way.
• Zimmerman scored 11 points while Erin Gantley had a game-high six assists to just one turnover.
• Rachael Windhausen grabbed eight rebounds and added three blocks to her impressive career total of 139, that ranks second in Oswego Lakers women's basketball history.
