HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite going down by five tallies, the Lakers denied Plattsburgh its 11th shutout of the season with Webster's third period score.
- The Waterloo, Ont. native's goal came with less than 12 minutes remaining in the final period, on the Laker power play, assisted by Philomena Teggart and Natalie Giglio.
- The 5-on-4 conversion was the result of a pass up the boards from Giglio to Teggart, who sent the puck over to Webster, whose wrist shot benefited from a crowded net front.
- Freshman goaltender Cassie Shokar got the start, appearing in 44:01, making a career-best 42 saves. Rachael Farmer came in to relieve Shokar, spending the final 15:03 between the pipes, stopping nine Plattsburgh shots.
- Contrary to the difference in goals, the Lakers and Cardinals were even in both the faceoff win category (30-30) and short-handed shots (2).
