POTSDAM, N.Y. -- The Oswego State men's soccer team kicked off its four-game SUNYAC road trip with a win over Potsdam on Friday afternoon. Oswego's shutout of the Bears was its sixth of the season. The Lakers now have nine wins on the year, the program's most since the 2006 squad was victorious 11 times. It was also the team's fourth win in conference play, the most since the 2009 Lakers accumulated the same total.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Caleb Asamoah placed the Lakers on the scoreboard first, tallying a goal off an assist from Steven Rojas just over 28 minutes into the game. The play marked Asamoah's team-leading eighth goal and Rojas' team-leading fifth assist of the season.
- The roles would be reversed for Asamoah and Rojas in the second half as Asamoah delivered a pass to Rojas for an insurance goal.
- Slater Bushen, Kieran Gilroy, Omar Espinoza and Jack Van Pelt each recorded a shot on-goal, joining Asamoah and Rojas.
- The Lakers held the Bears without a shot on-goal until the 61st minute.
- Brian Terra was not challenged often between the pipes but saved the one shot he faced in 90 minutes to earn the shutout.
- Oswego held an advantage in nearly every statistical category including shots (17-7), on-target opportunities (6-1) and corners (9-3).
